Pharmax - Bonne Terre
Melanie Houser, RPh
Melanie grew up in Farmington and is a graduate of St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2001. She started working at Pharmax back in high school as a delivery driver, continued to work through her education at STLCOP, and eventually took over as Pharmacist at the Bonne Terre location in 2001 and has worked there ever since. Melanie’s claim to fame is that she has done just about every job there is to do at Pharmax. In her spare time Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband Brandon and two sons, Charlie and Cooper, boating and tubing on the lakes at Terre Du Lac as well as watching her sons play soccer, baseball, and basketball. Melanie’s favorite thing about being a pharmacist is making a difference in people’s lives by being a part of their healthcare team and getting know her patients on a personal level.
Pharmax - Festus
Erin Gooch, RPh
Erin is a 2004 graduate from St. Louis of College of Pharmacy. She has been a pharmacist for 12 years in the Festus/Crystal City area. Erin’s family includes her husband Travis and four children, Avery (11), Claire & Cooper (6-year-old twins), and her baby Walter. In her spare time she enjoys hiking around Missouri and biking with her children. Erin’s favorite thing about being a pharmacist is the relationships built with patients and their caregivers. She likes that her education enables her to provide health care to the community, but the most rewarding aspect to being a pharmacist is the friendships made. Erin admires all people and wants to celebrate their victories from the child retelling baseball game highlights to the joy in finding out someone's spouse is now cancer free. Erin is grateful in return to provide comfort with dignity during a difficult, painful recovery or times of loss as a friend and pharmacist. We all are excited to welcome Erin to the Pharmax team as she starts her journey as pharmacist at our new Festus location.
Pharmax - Imperial
Caleb Witt, PharmD.
Caleb received his PharmD from St. Louis college of Pharmacy in 2007. With over 19 yrs experience he is currently leading our team as Pharmacy manager at the Imperial location. As part of the MPA legislative committee he takes pride in being an advocate for the pharmacy profession and small businesses in our community. Caleb recently wrote a course called Advanced Community Pharmacy that he teaches at the St. Louis college of Pharmacy. He also is an associate professor for Butler University. He believes that everyone should have the ability to live a healthy and active life. His favorite part of being a community Pharmacist is having the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of his patients by being able to counsel them on their current medications, recommending an over the counter product, as well as helping to prevent illness through immunization. During his free time he enjoys a very impressive and active lifestyle engaging in sports and other fun activities such as basketball, biking and swimming with his 2 children, Lilly who is 7 and Lincoln who is 4. He has also competed in 2 marathons and 10 triathlons. We are very pleased to have such a strong influence join our team and inspire us all to be the very best versions of ourselves that we can be!
Pharmax - Leadington
Jessica Barton, PharmD.
Jessica is a graduate of St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2006 and has been the Pharmacist at our Leadington store for 9 years. When she’s not at work she enjoys hiking, golfing, cooking (if she wasn’t a pharmacist she says she’d love to be a chef) and traveling with her husband Adam, 4-year-old son Harrison, and 2-year-old daughter Emily. Jessica’s favorite thing about being a pharmacist is the opportunity to help people in the community. She likes working at Pharmax because the company challenges her and gives her the opportunities to expand her abilities.
Pharmax - Leadington and Bonne Terre
Susan K. Holman, RPh
Susan graduated with a BS in Pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1981. She has been practicing pharmacy for 35 years and has been employed with Pharmax from the beginning. Susan and her husband David are part owners of the Leadington and Bonne Terre locations as well as owners of Pharmax Medical Equipment in Farmington. Susan enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren in her spare time. She has two grandchildren from her daughter Kimberly and her husband who live in Nashville, and two more from her son Aaron who lives in St. Louis with his wife Jessie. Susan also dedicates her time as a group leader in Bible Study Fellowship. Susan’s favorite thing about being a pharmacist is being able to provide information to her patients that they use to improve the quality of their health and ultimately their life. If she wasn’t a pharmacist she would be a nutritionist because she is very interested in how the foods we eat are an integral part of our overall health.
Pharmax - Potosi
David B. Holman, RPh
David graduated with a BS in Pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1981. Sound familiar? This is where David and his wife Susan met and started a life and business partnership that has lasted 35+ years. David has owned pharmacies since his first store in Farmington and has been the pharmacist at the Potosi location since January of 2016. David and Susan have two children and four grandchildren together. In his spare time, David operates a concession trailer that can be found at local events near Farmington and surrounding areas. David enjoys the problem-solving aspect of being a pharmacist and his favorite thing about Pharmax is that as a company they are totally focused on the patient. If David wasn’t a pharmacist he says he would be a lawyer (but please don’t hold that against him).
Pharmax Clinical Manager
Torey Watson, PharmD., MBA
Torey is a recent graduate of the Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where he received his PharmD and MBA. He currently resides in Desloge with his wife and two dogs. He has been an employee of Pharmax for 5 years while he worked towards earning his degrees. In his spare time Torey loves playing several sports, particularly basketball, golf, and softball. He plays many instruments and enjoys playing bass at The Bridge Church in Leadington. Torey’s favorite thing about working in pharmacy is having the opportunity to positively impact people’s health every day. He also appreciates how friendly all of the employees are at Pharmax because they make people feel welcome and are always helpful.
